Edith Priscilla Canner, 82, of Stratham NH, died January 29, 2006, at the Kirkwood Corners nursing facility located in Lee NH. She was born January 23, 1924, in Boston MA, daughter of the late Francis and Lauretta (Pavone) Eldridge. Edith grew up in the Boston area and was a graduate of the Jamaica Plain High School in Massachusetts. She married William Canner 1n 1943 and together they settled and remained in Natick MA for almost 40 years raising their family. She worked for approximately 15 years as a retail sales person for Anne Star Clothing Store in Wellesley MA. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially cruises destined for sunny tropical places like the Caribbean. Edith was an avid cook specializing in Italian and Jewish dishes. She had resided in Stratham NH, for the past several years.

Mrs. Canner was predeceased by her husband.

She is survived by her son Irving Canner, granddaughter Victoria Canner, and great-grandchildren Brittany Canner and Zachary Canner, all of Greenland NH.

In addition, Edith had several siblings of which her brother, Frank Eldridge, lives in Andover MA. Edith's sisters Catherine and Evelyn died several years ago.
